The versatile field of Dutch as a foreign language makes for an abundance of activities. The most important tasks of the ‘Steunpunt NVT’ are: providing service, giving advice on policy and research propositions, in-service training and formulating the development of teaching materials.

The 'Steunpunt NVT' has set up a multimedia centre and a digital bibliography. Both contain recent publications on many areas of Dutch as a foreign language, such as educational methods, culture studies and didactics. The 'Steunpunt NVT' staff can offer additional information concerning these resources. The multimedia centre can be visited by appointment. The 'Steunpunt NVT' also welcomes groups of teachers and students.

The digital bibliography is part of this website, which provides information concerning projects, publications, congresses and courses in the area of Dutch outside the Netherlands and Flanders. The website also provides the addresses of institutions in and outside Dutch language field which concern themselves with the study of the Dutch language, literature and culture.
